At Reed Smith, attorneys who are going on an extended leave of absence of 8 weeks or more can take advantage of a ramp up/ramp down program immediately before and after their leave of absence to gradually return to their normal workload paid at full salary. The total ramp up/down time is 16 weeks.  They also offer a True-Up Policy for lawyers who have elected a reduced-hours schedule. This policy provides compensation up to 100% of an FTE for those lawyers who end up working more than their reduced hours because of the demands of the job.
