Florida Blue values an inclusive and accessible workforce and works to unite regulatory compliance requirements with corporate culture needs. In order to do this, they created the #iCount internal self-identification program that encourages employees to have real-time access to select and update their disability and veteran statuses through the company’s Employee Self Service Portal. This voluntary and confidential program was setup to distinguish itself from a “one and done” campaign, which would only solicit participation during a finite period of time. With #iCount, there is also a connection to the Florida Blue accommodations program, generating progress with self-identification, accessibility and ultimately productivity at Florida Blue.
