At Comcast NBCUniversal, the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion organization identified Talent Acquisition (TA) as the key functional business unit to advise and provide strategy development insight focused solely on Disability Inclusion, resulting in the launch of a dedicated disability inclusion Project Team within TA that centers around 6 key areas:

  • Pipeline Development and Hiring
  • Data Tracking and Reporting
  • Recruiter Training
  • New Hire Orientation
  • Business Practices
  • Hiring Pilot Exploration

Specific activities include:

  • Dedicated recruiters participate in disability-focused career fairs throughout the year
  • Partnership development is done with external organizations whose talent aligns with their business needs
  • Focused effort to include photos and videos of employees with disabilities on their career site to ensure the attraction of job seekers with disabilities; and,
  • Ongoing accessibility checks of the career site to ensure candidates with disabilities have full access.
