Employee Resource Group/Business Resource Group Resources
The founding members of the Disability:IN ERG/BRG Leadership Committee created the below toolkit. This toolkit provides information and resources on how a company’s disability-focused affinity group can promote disability inclusion through the employment life cycle and can enable employees with disabilities to bring their whole selves to work. The Committee was launched in 2014 and continues to be charged with providing a business focused and integrated peer networking forum where knowledgeable representatives from partner companies can share challenges, strategies and best practices for developing, transforming or supporting a disability-focused affinity group that provides business value to the company and professional growth for its members.
During 2019, the Disability:IN Board of Directors requested that the committee focus on expanding and adding resources to the tool kit. The Committee subsequently developed four fact sheets on: Ableism/Audism; Facility Accessibility; Intersectionality; Role of Executive Sponsors.
