The pandemic has required businesses and educational institutions to move most HR functions from in person interactions to interactions on a virtual platform. This sudden move to virtual transactions changed the way we do business including how we recruit, hire and onboard new employees.
The vaccine rollout gives us hope for more in person interactions but virtual recruiting will remain an important part of recruiting best practices.
As a response to their members requests for guidance in best practices for virtual recruiting, the Higher Education Resource Consortium created the Virtual Recruiting Toolkit. This online toolkit is a compilation of best practices based on member input in response to the call for simple and actionable practices for creating a successful virtual recruiting program.
Karen Fife, Regional Director of the Metro New York Southern Connecticut Chapter of the HERC, will share best practices culled from the HERC Virtual Recruiting Toolkit.
Join us as we learn best practices for successfully:
- Creating policies and procedures for virtual recruiting
- Sourcing and connecting with candidates in a virtual environment
- Holding virtual interviews
- Onboarding new employees
- Ensuring access for people with disabilities to all stages of the recruiting process
- Making Diversity and Inclusion part your virtual recruiting program
We look forward to “seeing” you on March 12th.
