Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act mandates the provision of reasonable accommodation for employees with disabilities. For those with limitations that impact their ability to perform certain essential functions of a job, examining accommodation options can ensure that they successfully transition to active members of the workforce as well as enhancing productivity and increasing workplace safety. Educators, service providers, employers, and others can offer support to individuals by becoming familiar with common types of accommodations and the resources available to ensure successful employment. This session will examine common workplace situations and accommodation solutions related to individuals with various disabilities working positions ranging from entry-level to highly skilled professions
