Several companies headquartered in Connecticut earned 100 percent scores in the 2022 Disability Equality Index, which comprises one of the leading measures of the workplace inclusion of people with disabilities.

Ridgefield-based Boehringer Ingelheim, Bloomfield-based Cigna, Stamford-based Gartner, Hartford-based The Hartford, Stamford-based Indeed, Stamford-based Synchrony and Hartford-based Travelers each received a score of 100, according to results released this week by Disability:IN and the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD), which produce the index. Greenwich-based XPO Logistics recorded a 90 percent score.

A record 415 companies participated in the 2022 DEI, up 30 percent from 319 companies in 2021. Each company received a score, on a scale of zero to 100 — with those earning 80 and higher recognized as a “Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion.” There were 335 companies recognized this year.
