May is both Asian Pacific American Heritage Month as well as Mental Health Awareness Month. While data indicates the incidence rate of mental health disabilities among Asian Americans is 16.4% compared with 23.9% of White Americans, Asian Americans are reported to be 60% less likely to receive mental health treatment than their White counterparts. This webinar will celebrate the contributions of Asian Pacific Americans while examining the stigma of the Model Minority Myth and its related mental health implications along with tactics for demystifying myths and mitigating misconceptions.
