IN DC Metro: Equitable Access: Technology Bridging the Employment Gap For the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Community

This educational interactive webinar will provide employers and employees, students and interns, as well as the deaf and hard of hearing community as a whole, the opportunity to engage in meaningful dialog focused on equitable access in employment. Hearing loss is a common disability caused by noise, aging, disease, and heredity.

Jess Aiello, Founder, The I Yellow Group, and DC Metro Advisory Board member will share her passion for creating an inclusive environment for deaf, hard of hearing and hearing individuals. John Macko, Director and Dawn Lucas, Associate Director, NTID Center on Employment at the Rochester Institute of Technology, will share perspectives on how to educate and prepare both employers and prospective hires for success in the workplace.

The Human Connection Roundtable will be moderated by Jess Aiello and include John Macko, Dawn Lucas, Peter Hayes, An Employer who has hired a deaf employee and a recent NTID graduate. Join us to hear unique perspectives, ask questions and share your experiences!
