IN Chicagoland: Working Caregivers: Why you Should Care & How you can Support them

Disability:IN Chicagoland continues its third annual Virtual Disability Inclusion Opportunity Summit program series on Tuesday, October 11th with a discussion on Working Caregivers: Why You Should Care & How Can You Support Them. Employees today are more likely to care not just for children, but also for family members who have a disability or are elderly. In fact, approximately 20% of employees identify as a caregiver and an additional 20% do not consider themselves a caregiver even though they provide ongoing care for an aging family member, relative or friend, or someone with a disability or chronic health condition. Organizations have an opportunity to support these employees by offering access to programs and resources that can help make their lives easier. And they can expect to see a return on investment in the form of increased engagement and productivity just as they did after improving support for working mothers. Join us as we hear from professionals who will share leading practices for supporting employees who are caregivers including:

  • Jill Bradley, Senior Associate, HR Business Partner, Health Care Service Corporation
  • Ranae Martinez, Enrollment Solutions Sr. Consultant, VP of ABLE BRG, Allstate
  • Teresa O’Kelley, Senior Claim Service Analyst, Allstate
