This year’s 2022 DI-NC Wellness@Work event will address the mind-body connection that underpins health and well-being. Our two keynote speakers will make a compelling case for viewing mindfulness and movement in new ways.
Our first speaker, Dr. David Vago ( Research Associate Professor of Psychology at Vanderbilt University, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and research lead at RoundGlass will share the latest research on mindfulness and how we can transform the world of work via mindfulness practices.
Our second keynote, Dr. Amanda Kloo will offer her professional and life experiences with adapting movement into her life as a person with cerebral palsy. As the Director of Inclusive Recreation at the National Inclusion Project, Dr. Kloo provides training and technical support to enable businesses and community organizations to meaningfully include individuals with disabilities building sustainable health and wellness activities into our lives.
May is Mental Health Month. Mental Health Awareness Month provides a timely reminder that mental health and physical health are linked. Our theme for 2022 is Mindfulness and Exercise Are for Every Body! This is a virtual event that is offered at no cost however, registration is required to attend.
