Description: Culture can have a profound impact on the way in which individuals and families navigate the world of disability. Cultural beliefs and norms can play a critical role in how a person self-identifies, whether or not they receive services and care, and how they are socialized and treated.

Featured Panelists:

  • Josette Ciceron- Associate Editor at Definitive Woman magazine and host of Voices Talk Show in Alexandria
  • Iman Elshawaf- Principal at Safir International School in Istanbul and Ph.D. candidate at University College in London
  • Pal Koak- Pre-med student at the University of Minnesota, Rochester

Cost:

  • Members: Free (for member companies and their employees)
  • Non-members: $20 per person
