Wilbur Liu

Wilbur Liu is currently studying computer science at Northeastern University. He graduated from Stony Brook University with a master’s degree in mechanical engineering. Wilbur loves learning and he is committed to becoming a lifelong learner. He wants to develop himself to become a good problem solver.

At school, he participated in robotic research with his professor. It focuses on robotic motion planing and model building.  In 2017, He had internship experience at Carrier Corporation, working on a refrigeration unit on heavy-duty trucks.

As an alumni, Wilbur was a mentee in Rising Leaders Mentoring Program (now known as Disability:IN NextGen Leader Initiatives) from March to August 2018. He was matched with a Boeing Fellow. Through this program, he developed many skills such as public speaking, job interview, and setting up goals. During this program, he successfully receives job interviews and offers. Now as a member of NextGen Council, he would like to give advice to students on how to effectively participate in our mentorship program and annual conference because he knows how life-changing this program is.

In his free time, Wilbur enjoys learning new technology and concept. Such as blockchain, programming and self-development. He enjoys reading, running, music and movies.
