Shea Belsky is a graduate of Cornell University, holding a BS in Information Science, specializing in User Experience, and minoring in Education. He also received his MPS in Information Science in December 2018 from Cornell.
Shea specializes in the intersection of user experience, technology, and usability. He currently works as a web software engineer for Wayfair, working on the Design Services interior home design platform. Shea is a member of the “A11y Crew” of software engineers, committed to improving the accessibility and usability of Wayfair’s online storefront. He is also a member of Wayfair’s Employee Resource Group on disability, where he promotes inclusion and equity within Wayfair for employees with disabilities.
At Cornell, Shea was a member of the Cornell Union for Disability Awareness, collaborating with student organizations and university administration to increase awareness and acceptance of individuals with disabilities. In Boston, Shea has volunteered at the Aspgerger/Autism Network (AANE) in Watertown, MA, volunteering with adults on the autism spectrum. He was a panelist for an “Autism Goes To College” event, sharing his experiences and perspectives as an individual with autism attending college.
