Lorne Needle

Lorne is a professional with expertise in disability inclusion that includes talent acquisition, corporate strategy, employee experience, learning and development, program design and scaling, people operations, leadership coaching, and more. At Google, Lorne was the first global lead for disability inclusion in staffing. He launched and executed a successful strategy that significantly expanded the pipeline of qualified people with disabilities and neurodivergent people, and positively impacted hiring across regions. Lorne conceived initiatives that strengthened Google’s employment brand with the community, including social media campaigns and featured outreach on the company’s careers site. He also created Google Cloud’s Autism Career Program, which included highly-rated training for hiring managers, interviewers, recruiters, and executives. In other roles at Google and X (“the moonshot factory”), Lorne led people operations for a biotech startup team, and built world class e-learning products and programs that have been used by more than 10 million learners in more than 150 countries. Lorne served on the executive team of United Way Bay Area as chief of programs. He earned a BA in Public Policy and an MBA from Stanford University.
