Liz Wamai is Vice President, Head of Recruiting for the Business Recruiting Functions, Diversity Recruiting and Brand at Facebook. She joined Facebook in June 2016. These teams are responsible for recruiting across all the functions that report up to our Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Office globally, while Diversity Recruiting is responsible for accelerating representation candidates across all of Facebook. Our Brand teams remove barriers and connect top talent to opportunity by delivering unique, meaningful stories and experiences to help them see Facebook as a place where they aspire to belong.

Liz brings over 20 years of Human Resources leadership experience having worked at leading financial, media and technology organizations. Prior to Facebook, she was the Global Head of Talent Acquisition at Bloomberg for six years.

Before joining Bloomberg, Liz was a Managing Director at Merrill Lynch, Global Head of Campus Recruiting and Diversity Recruiting. Before Merrill, Liz was Vice President at Credit Suisse and an Associate at Goldman Sachs. She served as a Human Resources consultant to The New York Times and a travel manager with Let’s Go Travel in Kenya. She holds a Bachelor of Education from Moi University in Kenya and a Masters of Business Administration from Baruch College in New York City. She is remains actively involved in Africa through organizations such as the African Leadership Network and Ongoza organization.
