Asher Kirschbaum is a mechanical engineering graduate from Rochester Institute of Technology. He is passionate about learning. He wants to use his engineering skills to be part of a team advancing humanity such as sending people to Mars or solving energy problems.
Asher has had internships at the Dow Chemical Company, General Electric, and United States Bureau of Reclamation. During the latter internship experience, he worked with a new technology called photogrammetry to study the structure of dams across the States. He also led a research project and presented at American Astronomical Society’s 229th Conference in Grapevine, Texas. Asher was one of the students in the US Business Leadership Network’s Talent Accelerator Program in 2016.
Before he secured his job outside of college, he took a solo trip to South America for three months. He cut the trip short upon being accepted to flight school, where he earned his FAA Light Sport Pilot license. He plans on obtaining a Private Pilot License and going airplane camping across America. Currently, he is an Enterprise Account Manager at Purple Communications. His responsibility is providing accessible solutions for deaf employees in the northeast area while advocating for their rights in their working space. He resides in Rochester, New York. In his free time, he enjoys rock climbing, playing chess, and dreaming about competing on Jeopardy!
