When Measurement Becomes Strategy: Using the Disability Index to Drive Business Insight
Learn how the Disability Index helps companies benchmark disability inclusion and choose the right level of insight—from standardized reporting to deeper, decision-ready analysis.

Disability inclusion is no longer a “nice to have.” It is a business imperative tied directly to talent outcomes, market access, innovation, and long-term performance. But progress does not come from intent alone, it comes from measurement that informs action.
The Disability Index is the leading global benchmarking tool for advancing disability inclusion across the enterprise. Trusted by more than 70% of the Fortune 100, the Index provides companies with an objective, data-driven view of where they are today and where focused action can drive the greatest impact next.
Participation in the Index is free for all eligible companies, and organizations can choose the level of reporting that best aligns with their goals, capacity, and stage of maturity. At its most powerful, Index reporting becomes a strategic tool- translating data into clear priorities, informed decisions, and measurable action. Understanding the distinction between Universal reporting and Premiere Insights is key to determining how the Index can best support your business goals.
Understanding Your Reporting Options
All companies that complete the Disability Index receive a Universal Report, which provides their raw score, proficiency level, and recognition eligibility. Companies may also choose Premiere Insights, which offer a more detailed and analytical view of Index results. An optional Executive Debrief is available for organizations seeking leadership alignment and engagement. Each reporting option unlocks additional value:
Universal Report: Score Summary
The Universal Report provides every participating company with a one-page, high-level view of their Index results, including:
- Overall score
- Proficiency level
- Associated recognition for Established, Advanced, and Distinguished proficiency levels- where applicable.
This report is designed to give organizations a snapshot of where they stand within the Index’s maturity framework. It allows companies to understand their current position, communicate results internally, and establish a baseline for future participation.

Premiere Insights: Comprehensive Analysis
The Premiere Insights Report is designed for companies that want to use benchmarking data to inform business decisions, align leadership, and drive measurable progress.
The 20+ page Premiere Insights Report includes:
- Question-by-question benchmarking across all Index participants and relevant industry peers
- Detailed data visualizations that highlight patterns, strengths, and areas of opportunity
- Individualized analysis and recommendations grounded in Index results
Rather than replacing the Universal view, Premiere Insights expand it- helping companies understand not only where they performed, but how different practices contributed to those outcomes and where focused action will deliver the greatest impact.
