The Disability:IN team brings a passion for disability inclusion and significant subject matter expertise that stems from decades of collective private and public sector professional experience combined with lived experiences spanning a wide range of disabilities. Our team of facilitators possess practical and strategic knowledge in accessibility, accommodations, corporate culture, disability etiquette, employee resource groups, self-identification, supplier diversity, talent acquisition and more. Disability:IN is ready to support our corporate partners with their disability training needs through a library of standard course offerings.
Before Your Session, You Will Receive
- Assistance with selecting a session that meets your organization’s needs.
- Flexible scheduling opportunities based on your organization’s timeline and facilitator availability.
- 30-minute pre-session to align on your organization’s goals for the training.
- Event marketing toolkit including messaging guidance, customizable templates, and social media assets to generate excitement for your session.
- Accessibility features such as ASL interpretation and CART are required for the training at your company’s expense; Disability:IN can support you with questions on sourcing and setting up.
During Your Session, You Will Receive
- An interactive 60-minute learning experience with Disability:IN facilitators knowledgeable on your selected topic.
- Disability:IN facilitators will deliver a discussion-based presentation that will conclude with an open Q&A session.
- Sessions will be facilitated virtually. Session recording and archive are available.
After Your Session, You Will Receive
- Post event survey soliciting feedback from participants on content and facilitation; Disability:IN will share overview of survey results with event organizers.
- A 30-minute debrief session to discuss survey feedback and event outcomes.
Disability:IN corporate partners at the Presenting partnership level can select ONE (1) and the Headlining partnership level can select TWO (2) of the following prefix courses within a 12-month period as part of their partnership benefits. Additional courses for partners at these levels can be scheduled for an additional cost, and partners at the Connector, Collaborator, Thought Leader and Influencer levels can select a course(s) to their partnership package by purchasing as an add-on.

All Access: A Beginner’s Guide to Accessibility 101
Level: Beginner
Description: What is accessibility, and why is it important? If you or others inside your organization are asking these questions, then this session is for you. This session will explore the basics of accessibility, including defining key terms, identifying who benefits from accessibility and how, the fundamentals of accessibility standards and guidelines, and where to begin in building a business case for an increased focus on accessibility inside your company.
Do This, Don’t Do That: A Disability Etiquette Deep Dive
Level: Beginner
Description: What constitutes proper disability etiquette is ever-evolving, globally situational, and open to individual interpretation. There are universal attitudes, behaviors, and language that can help you set a firm foundation. Whether you’re a newcomer to the disability community or a seasoned veteran, everyone can benefit from established etiquette best practices. This session will focus on both apparent and non-apparent disabilities, outlining the fundamentals of appropriate etiquette and providing a safe space to get answers to those questions that might be too awkward or intimidating to ask elsewhere.
Where You At?: Inspiring Individuals with Disabilities to Self-Identify
Level: Intermediate
Description: Self identification enables organizations to better understand their global workforce, facilitate dialogue, and create programs that support diverse employees. Employees with disabilities, however, might be reluctant to self-identify for a variety of valid reasons. A disability-focused self identification campaign can help shape the narrative surrounding global self identification and inspire employee participation. This session will explore the basics of building a disability self identification campaign, including how to secure legal and leadership support; create effective marketing through storytelling; and considerations on how to collect and report self ID data.
