Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc. employees and their dependents (including children up to age 26) are eligible for free confidential counseling sessions through their Employee Assistance Program (EAP) – whether or not they are enrolled in the company’s Medical Plan. The Resources for Living EAP administered by Aetna provides up to six free counseling sessions per issue per year, either telephonically or in-person at the provider’s office. When an employee or their family members calls, a Wellbeing Partner will serve as their single point of contact to help them find the most appropriate provider, understand their emotional health benefits, and access a host of other services available through the EAP. The EAP is available 24/7 and is also onsite at their Ridgefield, Duluth and St. Joseph locations. Specifically, when an employee or family member contacts the EAP, they will be connected with a Wellbeing Partner who can provide:
- A single point of contact to direct the caller to the most appropriate providers and other community resources
- Guidance to help determine the most appropriate provider (for example, a social worker, a clinical psychologist, a physician)
- Convenient access to quality care through multiple channels including face to face, tele video and chat
- Emotional health support and help with everyday needs
