Will COVID vaccination be required to attend the Conference?

For the safety of all attendees of the conference, Disability:IN requires all attendees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including booster shot, prior attending the Conference. Proof of vaccination will be requested by Disability:IN prior to arriving on-site at the Conference.

Exceptions will be granted for individuals entitled to a reasonable accommodation for either medical or religious reasons. Requests for accommodation must be sent to [email protected] and will be reviewed by Legal Counsel. If an exemption is granted for COVID-19 vaccination, a negative PCR test taken within 48 hours of arrival at the conference must be presented.

Will a COVID test be required for all attendees?

Currently, COVID test will not be required for vaccinated attendees. Non-vaccinated attendees who are granted an accommodation will need to prove a negative PCR test taken within 48 hours of arrival at the conference and must be presented.

Will COVID testing be available on-site?

Yes, COVID testing will be available on-site at the Conference hotel.

Will masks be required at the conference?

At present, Disability:IN expects that it will require all Attendees to wear face coverings while attending any indoor event related to the Conference. This is subject to change and attendees will be notified closer to the event of the final mask policy. Mask guidance will be taken from the CDC.

Regardless of a masking requirement, we encourage all attendees to wear masks when not actively eating or drinking.

Will there be social distancing throughout the meeting space?

Yes, wherever possible, additional space will be made between chairs and tables. We will reduce the number of people at given table for meal functions and will give flexible seating options to those hoping for some extra space.

Vaccination Verification

How will I verify my vaccination status in advance of the Conference?

Disability:IN will work with a third-party platform that will allow our attendees to upload their proof of vaccination for verification prior to arriving on-site.  Submission instructions and link communications will be provided prior to the conference date.

Will the Disability:IN Conference happen in-person this year?

Yes, Disability:IN is excited to be back in person at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel for our Global Conference and Expo! Your in-person registration includes access to all plenary sessions, breakout sessions, networking receptions, the Expo, meal functions, and the Inclusion Awards Gala.

Will there be a virtual participation option for the Conference?

For those who are not able or do not wish to travel to Dallas, we will offer a virtual participation option. This will include live streaming of all the plenary sessions and interact with conference attendees via our conference app. This will not be a fully hybrid event, but we want to offer a way for people to participate who are not able to join us in Dallas.

Aira is an assistive technology service that connects people who are blind or have low vision to trained, professional Agents who provide visual information on demand – describing, reading, explaining, navigating – just about anything, safely and securely.

Aira’s service, accessed via a mobile app, shares real-time visual information through the rear-facing camera on the user’s smartphone.

We invite you to use Aira to navigate Dallas Love Field Airport and throughout the Sheraton Dallas as you check-in, attend sessions, visit exhibits and more.

Advanced reservations are not necessary however we do suggest you download the free Aira App from the App or Google Play Store in advance.


If I am a corporate partner with comp codes, how will those be used for virtual vs. in-person participation?

Comp codes can be used for either an in-person or a virtual registration.

What registration type can I use a discount code on?

Discount codes are valid only on in-person registrations.

What if I need to cancel my registration?

In the event you are no longer able to attend the conference in-person and paid for an in-person registration you have two options:

  1. You may send a colleague from your company in your place. Please email Sheila Merritt at: [email protected]with your confirmation number, along with the name and email address of the individual you will be sending to the conference.
  2. If you paid via credit card or check, you may convert your in-person registration to a virtual registration. In this event, your one (1) in-person registration will be converted into three (3) virtual registrations for you to share with colleagues at your company.

If you use a comp code to register for the conference, you may transfer your registration to a colleague or convert your one (1) in-person registration to one (1) virtual registration.

There is a “no cancellation” policy for all virtual registrations, and there are no full refunds of in-person registrations.

After June 17, 2022, in-person registrations can no longer be converted to virtual, you will still be able to transfer your in-person registration to a colleague.

What is the cancellation policy for hotel rooms booked in the Disability:IN block at the Sheraton?

Please note that if you book a room at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel at the group rate, a non-refundable deposit of one (1) night’s room and tax will be charged to your credit card within 72 hours of booking.
