Walmart introduces NaviLens Pilot Program

Walmart believes everyone should feel welcomed and comfortable while they shop, which is why we’re always testing new ways to make our shopping experience more accessible. We’re now piloting NaviLens at 10 stores in the Dallas-Fort Worth and Northwest Arkansas areas. NaviLens uses high-contrast, scannable signage that helps blind and low-vision users independently navigate spaces with confidence. The app can also read details on participating products in up to 40 languages, helping users identify potential allergens and other important information. Simply download the free NaviLens app from Google Play or the App Store to get started!

This initiative is the latest accessibility feature for Walmart’s customers, joining sensory friendly shopping hours, Caroline’s Carts, Aira, and other services that help customers shop with freedom and dignity. We’re always listening to feedback and innovating to make our shopping experience better for everyone. Have suggestions for how we can make our shopping experience even better? Let us know!
