Accenture drives accessibility and makes seeking accommodations easy through their global Accessibility Centers.
Accenture’s Accessibility Centers are advisory centers where employees can explore a catalogue of various assistive technologies and hardware to find something that meets their unique needs. Examples include: adaptive headsets, speech-to-text, specialty keyboards, smart canes programmed with an office map to assist navigation, 3D printers that can sustainably create ergonomic tools, and much more. There are currently 35 Accessibility Centers around the globe and growing!
CBRE:
Actively nurture an inclusive culture by listening to and amplifying people with disabilities in your organization.
CBRE produced internal “I Belong” videos, sharing the stories of people with disabilities at CBRE. It sparked conversation and expanded the team’s understanding of disability and disability inclusion. Furthermore, CBRE closely partnered with their disability ERG to create meaningful systems and share learnings across the organization.
LinkedIn:
LinkedIn builds an environment where individuals feel welcome to self-identify as a person with disability by leveraging partnerships and disability inclusive education across the company.
While LinkedIn has a disability and mental-health specific ERG, they also partner with ERGs across the organization to educate and spread the word about disability inclusion, accessibility, accommodations, and other resources available for people with disabilities. This emphasis on intersectionality strengthens internal relations and proactively builds a culture where everyone is empowered to advance disability inclusion.
