Corporate Relations Manager Job Description

The Corporate Relations Manager will use strong entrepreneurial, collaborative, critical thinking, and team skills to help the organization achieve significant growth in both scale and impact. Working with the Senior Director of Corporate Relations and the full Corporate Relations team, s/he will help lead corporate relations and various projects related to Disability:IN programs. This person plays a critical role in expanding our impact by driving revenue through mission-aligned sales and building strategic partnerships that advance our goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, pitch, and negotiate proposals for prospective partners, driving growth through targeted outreach and strategic storytelling.
  • Support the creation and management of a repeatable sales pipeline from lead generation to closing, including outreach strategies, qualification frameworks, and follow-up processes.
  • Spearhead communication and fundraising strategies in collaboration with the broader team, with a focus on acquisition, partner retention, brand alignment, and long-term value creation.
  • Lead and manage a portfolio of corporate partners, overseeing strategic onboarding, relationship development, and alignment with organizational goals through regular touchpoints and high-level engagement.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to corporate partners by identifying needs, developing tailored partnership strategies, and connecting them to solutions across Disability:IN’s four pillars—Data & Insights, Learning & Development,Network & Events, and Advisory & Consulting.
  • Represent the organization and Corporate Relations team in both internal and external meetings, effectively leading communications with senior stakeholders and supporting cross-team alignment.
  • Act as a Corporate Relations liaison for partner engagement at Disability:IN’s Global Conference & Expo and external events ensuring consistent, high-quality representation.

Work Schedule, Location & Travel Requirements:

  • Disability:INis a fully remote organization; employees are expected to operate independently from a home office.
  • Travel: Limited travel, as needed, approximately 2-3 times per year.
  • Schedule: Standard hours are 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. local time Monday-Friday with occasional evening and weekend work required.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5-7years of work experience required
  • Experience in nonprofit sales/development required ideally with grant application experience and/or corporate experience as well.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrate an orientation to details with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Identify solutions in a timely manner, responding promptly to multiple stakeholders.
  • Hold oneself accountable for work product quality and timeliness, providing regular status updates to leadership and requesting support/extensions when appropriate and necessary.
  • Database management (e.g. Salesforce) experience preferred.

Events Associate Job Description

Position Summary:

The Events Associate will have primary responsibility for planning and executing logistics of in-person and virtual events, including webinars and matchmaking events. In addition, this position will work closely with Disability:IN team members to make sure their events are properly planned and executed. The ideal candidate is highly organized,detail-oriented, and committed to our mission.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage registration, logistics, accessibility, and technical support for in-person, hybrid, and virtual events.
  • Support all aspects of assigned event elements and processes for conferences in and outside of the U.S., such as: registration,travel booking, room booking, space planning, technology, AV, health and safety, volunteer programs, external/internal communications, awards ceremonies, event staffing assignments, accessibility, translation, food and beverage, and more. 
  • Coordinate meeting planning elements and processes with contracted outside vendors.
  • Assist with the pre-event planning and execution of virtual events, including webinars and matchmaking events. 
  • Assist with pre-event planning and logistics for Global Events, both in-person and virtual.
  • Conduct event-related training for staff,volunteers, partners, talent, and vendors.
  • Report on and monitor progress related to ongoingevent elements and processes. 
  • Staff in person events, which may include event load-in and load-out, room setup and take down, speaker/talent preparation,vendor coordination, attendee assistance, technology troubleshooting, and more. 
  • Manage scheduling of speaker prep calls and speaker communications for in person and virtual events.
  • Enter, track, and report on data in Salesforce and Swoogo.  
  • Create webinars, send calendar invitations, and manage logistics in Zoom Webinar platform.
  • Create and maintain internal event process and calendar to ensure overlap is avoided and all interested parties are in the loop about upcoming events.
  • Other duties as required. 

Work Schedule, Location, and Travel Requirements:

  • Disability:IN is a fully remote organization.All employees are expected to operate independently from their home offices daily
  • Must be willing to travel 3-6 times per year.
  • Flexible work hours leading up to and during events and a willingness to work outside of typical working hours including at least 4virtual events outside of the US per year which can occur at all hours based on time zones.

Education and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3-5 years of related experience in event planning, convention planning, on-site event management, virtual events, and event follow-up and feedback collection. 
  • Experience in large scale corporate event planning including pre-planning, on-site management, event follow-up, virtual events, webinars,and accessibility.
  • Experience with accessibility for in-person and virtual events.
