Featured Presentation: Incorporating Neurodiversity In The Workplace

Description: While employers worldwide are emphasizing the importance of autism at work and disability inclusion there remains a sense of uncertainty as to how autistic and other neurodivergent individuals can be successfully integrated and included within the workforce. While neurodiverse employees may need additional support and understanding in order to succeed, the benefits of having a diverse workforce speak for themselves and can ultimately influence an employer’s public perception for the better. In this webinar, Haley Moss, an attorney, advocate and author who is also autistic will explain: Neurodiversity What benefits you can expect from having a neurodiverse workforce Which accommodations may be necessary in order to recruit and retain neurodiverse individuals in your workforce How the future of diversity in the workplace is taking shape and what that means for neurodiverse individuals looking for employment, as well as the employers looking to hire them.

Presenter: Haley Moss is the author of “Middle School: The Stuff Nobody Tells You About” and “A Freshman Survival Guide for College Students with Autism Spectrum Disorders: The Stuff Nobody Tells You About.” She also illustrated and contributed to the anthology “What Every Autistic Girl Wishes Her Parents Knew.” Her writing about autism, neurodiversity, and disability has appeared in publications such as The Washington Post, ABA Journal, HuffPost, Teen Vogue, FastCompany, and more.
