Emily Obert is a Product Development Engineer at Ford Motor Company, where Emily engineers vehicle interiors, specializing in climate control, including HVAC and air-handling systems.

Emily has received a patent and implemented a modular component strategy, which has decreased the time to engineer and costs associated with vehicle development. Emily helps Ford make exciting vehicles for customers that deliver beautiful interiors and climate comfort at a great value. Emily uses a user-centric product design approach and systems engineering to make decisions that are the best for the customer and the best for Ford Motor Company.

Emily is the chairperson of Ford Empowering Diverse Abilities, a resource group for Ford employees with disabilities and their allies. Her work with this organization promotes disability inclusion, and involves leading joint projects with IT, facility management, HR and autonomous vehicle teams.

Emily is an avid hand cyclist and home cook from Detroit, Michigan.
