Anthony Groff

Anthony Groff is a multifaceted leader and manager with over 25 years of management and leadership experience. He is someone that can set and achieve goals and objectives. Outstanding ability to work with and manage other departments & teams, to ensure as a whole, they can meet short and long-term objectives. Extensive knowledge in short and long term planning, operational planning and implementation, project management, defining strategies and operational objectives, and establishing and maintaining a budget.

Anthony Groff is currently a Project Manager for Highmark Health.  He is part of the diversity and inclusion team, assigned the Veteran and People with Disabilities project and initiatives for Highmark Health.  Anthony is the lead for two major initiatives within the Greater Pittsburgher area: Pittsburgh Veterans Employer Coalition, serving as the Co-Chair for the Steering Committee and the Disability Inclusion Consortium, serving on the coalition’s steering committee as one of the four primary corporations. Prior to his current positions, Anthony was a Supervisor of Quality within Health Plan Operations.

Prior to arriving at Highmark Health, Anthony served over 28 years in the US Army.  He completed over 13 years of Enlisted service as a medic, working various assignments closing out as a combat support hospital (CSH) operations sergeant. Anthony was commissioned as a Medical Service Corps Officer in 2000.  He served in both Personnel and Operations Positions, holding AOCs of 70F (Human Resources Manager) and 70H (Plans, Operations, Intelligence, Training and Security. Anthony successfully ran mission in Panama, Grenada, South Korea, Hawaii, Africa and CONUS before retiring as a Major (O4) in 2014.

Anthony earned his bachelor’s degree from Coe College, in Cedar Rapids, IA and his Masters of Science in Administration with a concentration in Health Services Administration from Central Michigan University. Anthony is originally from Iowa and currently resides in South Park, PA with his wife, Gail and two sons, Bryce and Erichson.
