Alyse Brewer is a recent graduate of Ursinus College, where she earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Neuroscience and additionally has minors in English and Spanish. In the past, Alyse has planned and executed Ursinus College’s first Disability Awareness week, which featured five different events including an adaptive sports night, a student voices panel, an employment workshop for disabled students, a film screening of Temple Grandin, and a traveling museum showcasing disabled artists. She serves as a board member on DisabilityIn board and is also an alumna of the DisabilityIn Talent Accelerator program.
Alyse aspires to be a physician assistant serving the disability community, people of color, and the LGBTQ community. She is currently employed as a medical scribe for an internal medicine practice, gaining her healthcare experience to apply to PA programs for her master’s degree. It is her dream to increase acceptance and inclusivity for the disabled community, especially in the medical and STEM related fields.
In her free time, she is an avid reader. She enjoys writing, painting, and playing video games.
