2018 NextGen Leaders Talent Accelerator Composition Infographic
Total NextGen Leaders: 150 students and recent graduates with disabilities.

Social demographics: 41% (or 61 NextGen Leaders) identify as women, and 55% (or 82 NextGen Leaders) identify as a person of color.

For concentration, 65% (or 96 NextGen Leaders) are in the STEM field, 14% (or 21 NextGen Leaders) are in Finance, 6% (or 9 NextGen Leaders) are in Business, and 15% (or 22 NextGen Leaders) have other majors including marketing, human resources, diversity and inclusion, law, etc.

For educational level, 17% (or 25 NextGen Leaders) are freshman or sophomores in college. 21% (or 32 NextGen Leaders) are juniors in college. 31% (or 47 NextGen Leaders) are seniors in college, and 31% (or 46 NextGen Leaders) are recent graduates. Freshman, sophomores, and junior NextGen Leaders are ready for internships, while senior NextGen Leaders and recent graduates are ready for hire!

NextGen Leaders Talent Accelerator: Matchmaking Session I

    5:30pm-7:00pm 

This is a one-on-one speed networking session, where company representatives are matched to specific NextGen Leaders as potential job applicants. Matchmaking is exclusive to USBLN corporate partners. NextGen Leaders and the company will be matched ahead of time, and companies will receive NextGen Leader names and resumes prior to the conference.

Intended Audience: NextGen Leaders, Recruiters, Talent Acquisition Representatives, and Corporate Hosts.

NextGen Leaders Talent Accelerator: Interview and Networking Center

  • Monday, July 9, 2017 – 9:45am – 5:00pm (Yaletown 4)
  • Tuesday, July 10, 2017 – 9:45am – 4:30pm (Yaletown 3 & 4)
  • Wednesday, July 11, 2017 – 9:45am – 7:00pm (Yaletown 3 & 4)

The Interview and Networking center is a space for company representatives to meet individually with college students and recent graduates from the NextGen Leaders Talent Accelerator. At the NextGen Leaders Interview and Networking Center, recruiters and company representatives can host formal and informal job interviews with students. This is also an open space for conference participants to network or have discussions with any student that draws their attention.

The interview rooms are set up to host several interviews at one time. When scheduling a one-on-one interview, please ask if the NextGen Leader needs accommodations in your initial email.

If accommodations are needed, then the corporate partner will need to make the request using the link below. 

If no accommodations are requested, then you can schedule the interview by reaching out to the NextGenLeaders directly. 

If the NextGen Leader needs a sign language interpreter or CART, please click the link below. If the student requests another type of accommodation, please email hannah@disabilityin.org.

The request and scheduling link will close at 5pm ET on Thursday, July 5th. Any requests after that time will need to be made in-person at the Conference Help Desk, located next to the Conference Registration Desk. We will make every effort to accommodate your request, but cannot guarantee it based on the availability of interpreters and captioners.

Please do not move or remove any existing slots that have been reserved. Reserving ASL interpreters and CART captioners is strictly on a first come, first served basis.
